I loved mashed potatoes and their delicious, creamy texture. I like to add sour cream to give my mashed potatoes the desired creamy and smooth texture, but that doesn’t work well here since Brad needs dairy free.

- Use the whisk attachment and whisk until smooth.

These mashed potatoes were so delicious you don’t realize that they are dairy free! I kept sneaking bites of these mashed potatoes while I was making the rest of dinner. What do you like to mix into your mashed potatoes?

I can’t do soy or most dairy substitutes (in addition to dairy), so I use a bit of coconut milk, or coconut oil with homemade stock, to give it that fluffy, flavorful creaminess. :)
(and garlic! Always garlic)
And I use a potato ricer instead of a whisk, because I like them a bit thick and chunky.

Have you tried hemp milk? I was using coconut milk for my dairy free ice cream and started using a combination of the hemp and coconut milk because it didn’t have such a strong coconut flavor but still had the fat content for the creamy texture.

These look great! Sometimes I’ll use chicken broth instead of milk but I’ll have to try the non dairy sour cream next time.
Kendra says
I definitely like it with the non-dairy sour cream. The texture is just a bit creamier.
