Welcome to summer! What is your favorite drink for summer? I’ve shared a few fun recipes over the past couple months that would be perfect to enjoy over the next few months but sometimes you really just want something that you can grab and go. I was offered the chance to try the Parrot Bay Ultimate Margarita Showdown and gladly participated. Check out my thoughts below.

I set up the little challenge so that Brad and I  could try out the two flavors. The kit came with everything I needed – even the limes and rim salt.

Can A had a pink-ish tint (which seemed odd for a lime flavored beverage). Also, it smelled and tasted like it was overly sweetened with artificial sweetener.

Can B had a more classic margarita taste and color. It was more refreshing and something that I wouldn’t feel like I had too much sugar after finishing. I could definitely see myself sitting out on the back deck enjoying one of these.

Brad and I both picked can B as our favorite because it had the more authentic margarita taste and tasted more authentic.

And the winner is….

The Parrot Bay Margarita features Coconut water which is probably one reason that it had a more authentic taste. It beat out the Bud Light Lime-a-Rita and I definitely know what to reach for when I’m looking for some easy to enjoy cocktails this summer.
