The holidays are going to be here before you know it! I’ve already started thinking about parties we’re going to host and what sort of menu items I want to serve. As long as I can remember, my aunt has made delicious carrots each holiday (this is the same aunt as the famous chocolate pie I shared previously). When I got married, my best friend had shower guests share family recipes and she put them together in a recipe box for me at my shower. These carrots are one of the recipes that Aunt Evelyn provided and today I’m going to share them with you.
Company Carrots – An Easy Holiday Recipe
- 2 Pounds Carrots - peeled & cut into ~2" length
- Cook in salted water until start to soften
- ¼ cup cooking liquid from carrots
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon minced onion
- 1 Tablespoon horseraddish
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Dash pepper
- ½ cup cracker crumbs
- ¼ cup melted butter
- In a large sauce pan, cook the carrots in salted water until they begin to soften
- Combine the sauce ingredients in a small pot and cook until well combined
- Butter a 9x9 Baking Dish
- Slice the cooked carrots thinly and spread out in backing dish
- Pour on the sauce
- Add the topping
- Bake at 350* for 30-40 minutes
If you are going to be hosting some gatherings this holiday season, now is the perfect time to think about kitchen updates. Right now at Best Buy, you can save big on some pretty awesome GE Appliances. These appliances have a unified appearance so it is easy to mix and match to create your own custom kitchen, while maintaining the same look throughout the room.
The GE Profile Gas Range features an Edge-To-Edge cook-top so that pots and pans can easily move across the top from one burner to another, and the integrated griddle can cook up to 6 grilled cheese sandwiches at a time (perfect for those mini-meals AFTER the big holiday meal).
If a new fridge is in store for you, make sure to check out the one with a built-in Keurig! I love that it could help remove one small appliance off the counter by building it into the fridge.
Right now, you can save up to $1200 when outfitting your new kitchen as well. Purchase 4 or more eligible GE Profile™ or select GE® appliances and, depending on the number of appliances purchased and whether any are BONUS models, receive a GE Appliances (GEA) Visa prepaid card valued up to $1200.
What is your favorite feature of these GE Appliances? What would you bake, how would the technology improve your baking/cooking? Make sure to check out Best Buy to learn more!
