Storms can be scary things and I don’t blame my dogs when they are a bit uneasy with all the noises happening outside. I have never been a fan of storms, especially thunderstorms. I still have memories of trying to sleep during a 3 hours car ride while going through intense thunderstorms and then finding out the next morning there were actually tornadoes in the area. Let’s just say that I’ve been known to wake up during thunderstorms, put in ear plugs, and relocate to the closet where I can’t see the lightning.
Whenever storms roll into the area, our pets are always nearby and like to cuddle up next to Brad & I to feel safe until the storm passes. Sometimes, the storm may be extra strong and Pip & Princess need a bit more than a cuddly blanket and knowing that we are near. When Pip or Princess need a little extra comfort during these storms, Calmz is a great solution to help lower their anxiety.
Below are a few examples of how Pip & Princess normally spend there evenings. Thanks to Calmz, even stormy evenings can be spent this way as well.
There are two pieces of the Calmz Vest – The Adjustable Harness and a multi-functional device which vibrates and plays calming tones or music. The harness utilizes pressure points on your dog to help keep them calm and make them feel reassured. The multi-functional device is removable from the harness as some dogs require gentle acclimation to the vest, and for cleaning the vest. If you are unsure whether this product isĀ suitable for your dog, consult a veterinarian.
Do your dogs suffer from anxiety? How do you deal with it?

I definitely need to check into this for Hunter. During thunderstorms, my husband and I usually take him into the bedroom with us. We blast the air, close the blinds, and snuggle close. It doesn’t always work, so maybe this would help!

I have heard of these, what a great invention. My dog growing up hated thunder storms.
Cris of Kiss My Tulle says
Do they make these for bigger dogs? Because we’ve always had labs and they really hate thunder and lighting.

I will have to look into this for our dog. He always gets so scared when people are letting off fireworks or when there is loud thunder.
