DIY Shower Cleaner
I am not a fan of my shower because I can see every single dirt spot on the glass; and it seemed no matter what I did it never got really clean. While browsing Pinterest one day I saw a pin about using a dish scrubber to clean and it works amazing! I use this scrubber each morning in the shower. For the first week, I did all the glass walls and now I just do a wall a day as a maintenance cleaning.
The initial cost for this cleaner is less than $1.50 and can be refilled for pennies. I’ve seen the dish scrubber at the dollar store and the filler is simply a 1:1 ratio of dish soap and white vinegar.
DIY Foaming Soap
There is nothing special about foaming soap, just the pump that adds air as it pumps out. If you have an empty or almost empty foaming soap dispenser you can make your own refill using concentrated liquid soap and water. I have refilled this method container about 5 times and it is still going strong. For this concoction, add 1 Tablespoon to the soap container and fill the rest with water then shake to combine. I’ve been using Ballard Organics soap for my hand soap, unfortunately they went out of business in 2011 so I’m going to have to find a new company when this bottle is gone.
Have you tried any cleaning tips that you found via Pinterest? How did they work?
