When I was planning our outfits for Disneyland, I decided that instead of getting (or making) character onesies for Emmett, I was going to create Disneybounding outfits for Emmett and myself. Last year when I visited Disneyland, I Disneybounded as Minnie Mouse so this year, I decided to match Emmett and have us both Disneybound as Mickey Mouse!
We arrived at the park as they were opening, and waited in town square to see Mickey Mouse come out for photos. Since we were there at Halloweentime, Mickey was in his Halloween attire, but still made for a fun photo. We heard that Mickey Mouse in his normal attire was back in Toontown, but we didn’t make it back there before we had to leave for the airport.
While we were waiting for Mickey Mouse to appear for photographs, I popped into the Mad Hatter and picked up some mouse ear hats that we could get embroidered. They really completed the look for our pictures! While Brad didn’t participate in the Mickey Mouse Disneybounding, he did join us in spirit with a Mickey Mouse tee and ears.
Emmett got so many compliments on his outfit while we were walking around the park, and I mean, why wouldn’t he? He’s an absolutely adorable Mickey Mouse!
For Emmett’s Outfit, I started with a black babysuit from Primary.com. Over the babysuit I added a pair of red shorts, and a pair of yellow moccasins completed the look! I love that all the items of this outfit can be worn over the next few months until he outgrows the outfits (well, maybe not the shorts since it is cold and rainy here in Seattle).
The embroidered ears are a perfect souvenir for our first trip to Disneyland as a family of three. I’m sure we’ll pack them for future Disney trips and see how Emmett grows into the ears over time.
I have plenty of black tees in my wardrobe so that part of my outfit was easy, but I did go on a search for red shorts. It probably would have been easier to find earlier in spring or summer. I found a pair of red shorts at Nordstrom; I loved that they were super comfortable (and lightweight which was awesome for the warm California weather).
My outfit was completed with a pair of yellow Converse. While the converse were comfortable for the first day, I did discover that my feet are not a fan of four days straight only wearing Converse.
Emmett had multiple themed outfits for this trip, check out his adorable Yoda outfit that he had for the Oogie Boogie Bash!
I absolutely love how this Mom & Baby Mickey Mouse Disneybounding outfit turned out. We might have to recreate it for future Disneyland trips!
