Sunshine, Golf and a Water Park – what else is needed? Well, the fruity drinks were a nice touch too. Last week, Brad and I headed down to Phoenix with my parents and aunt for my brother’s ASU graduation. We stayed at the Arizona Grand Resort and I am already missing the sunshine and water park.
The first thing I wanted to do when we checked in was check out the water park, The Oasis. I had been looking forward to floating down the lazy river since we booked our rooms. We got some lunch at the Lobby Grill and then went to the water park. Our room was right next to the water park so it was very convenient to even stop in for a few laps around the lazy river before heading out to visit with family.
Monday morning Brad went golfing with my dad. I went out for the first few holes and even got my very own golf cart to drive around.
Brad had a great time getting back into golfing (he hadn’t played in a couple years) and the course itself was absolutely gorgeous. While Brad and my dad finished golfing, I headed to The Oasis for some sunshine and fruity drinks. I soaked up the sunshine and my Kindle and then would go float in the wave pool for a few minutes to cool off every once in a while. My chair had a little flag that I could put up whenever I wanted a waitress to come over to take my order (the Mai Tai is delicious). The Oasis had 3 waterslides, I was too scared to do the two speed slides but I loved the twisty one. Check out my video of my going down the slide blow.
Brad joined me after the golf game for some more pool time.
The oasis at @arizonagrand is awesome! I’ve had an amazing waitress taking care of me all afternoon! Highly recommend if you are in #phoenix. #arizonagrand #arizonagrandtheoasis #visitarizona A photo posted by Kendra Darr (@simplydarrling) on
We tried out 5 of the 6 dining options. We will have to return so that we can try Rustler’s Rooste. Our favorite meal was at Aunt Chilada’s – my enchilada was absolutely delicious!
The Arizona Grand Resort is a great option for people who would like to visit a water park without all the crowds. There were multiple pools around the property as well if you are looking for a quieter pool or hot tub.
We absolutely loved our time at the Arizona Grand Resort and would definitely return again. There is so much awesomeness at this resort that you just need to head down there and see it for yourself!
I was provided a media rate for our time at the Arizona Grand for this post. All opinions are always my own.

Looks like you had an awesome time. I keep trying to imbed Instagram pics in my posts and they take forever. Did you have that issue?
